Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors directs the County’s day-to-day operations including but not limited approving the county budget, setting local tax rates, approving land use and establishing county government policy, passing resolutions and ordinances that would provide and preserve healthy a healthy, safe, and peaceful community for residents. This would also include the power to determine the need to improve transportation within the district. There is one elected official per magisterial district in Chesterfield County. This is a four year term. The next election is November 5, 2019.

Dr. Joseph P. Casey
The County Administrator leads the operations of Chesterfield County’s government to meet the needs of citizens within the County, advises members of the Board of Supervisors, recommends policies concerning programs and services that provide quality of life to county citizens, and ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws. They also maintain communication with the community from residents to businesses, to area governments, to legislative delegations such as the House of Delegates. This position is appointed by the County's Board of Supervisors.
Chesterfield County School Board
The Chesterfield County School Board is your community’s voice for public education regarding what the schools need and what the goals are set by the community. School boards help set the standard quality services, safety, supportive learning environments, and set the standards of achievements in the county to ensure students have the education and technology skills to prepare them for success in school, post-secondary education, work and life in a global society. There is one elected official per magisterial district in Chesterfield County. This is a four year term. The next election is November 5, 2019.

Dr. Merv Daugherty
Dr. Merv Daugherty began serving as the new Superintendent of Schools effective November 1, 2018. The Superintendent of Schools is responsible for to providing the county administrator financial documents, long-term projects and other materials necessary to determining the budget, appropriation decisions by the board of supervisors. Chesterfield County receives aid from the Commonwealth of Virginia for education. This position is appointed by the County's School Board.

House Page Leadership Program
2019 Session House Page Program Application Process is Closed
Each year the Speaker of the House of Delegates appoints 13 and 14 year-olds from across the Commonwealth to serve as House pages during the regular session of the General Assembly. These young people assist the members of the House of Delegates, the House Clerk's staff, and other legislative staff in the daily duties required for the successful operation of the House of Delegates during the session. If your child would like to participate in this program, please reach out to Delegate Adams' office at least two weeks before the deadline to set up an appointment for a letter of recommendation.
